Cobbleverse Guides

Editorial Policy

Our goal is to publish practical Cobbleverse guidance that a player can trace back to in-game observation, bundled modpack data, or a clearly identified external source.

Research and review

We distinguish three kinds of evidence:

  • In-game testing covers steps performed in Cobbleverse and screenshots captured during play.
  • Bundled-data extraction covers deterministic records parsed from the modpack snapshot, including species, moves, abilities, items, recipes, shops, and other configuration.
  • External sources provide upstream documentation or context and are linked when they materially support a claim.

Authored guidance is reviewed against the strongest available primary evidence before publication. A generated data record is not treated as proof that a player-facing route or strategy has been tested.

Versions and updates

When a claim depends on a Cobbleverse or Cobblemon version, the team records the applicable version with the guide update or its visible version note. Older guidance without a confirmed version is treated as needing re-verification, not as universally current.

Player reports start a correction check. We reproduce the issue when practical, compare it with the relevant bundled-data snapshot, update the page, and retain the repository history of the change. Use the Contact page to report a problem.

Verification rules

  • We do not invent facts to fill gaps in available evidence.
  • Untested information is not labeled as in-game verified, and uncertainty should be stated or the claim omitted.
  • AI assistance, when used for drafting, organization, or code, does not count as evidence. A team member must review the result against primary evidence before publication.
  • Corrections should improve accuracy, not hide a previous source or overstate what was checked.
