Special Legendaries
Certain Legendaries and Mythical Pokemon can only be found at unique structures scattered throughout the world. Some require crafting a special Radar to locate, while others need unique items to encounter.
Each guide below will walk you through the materials needed and steps to find these rare Pokemon. The journey often requires preparation and a strong team.
Spoiler warning
These guides show the full unlock path, required items, and exact encounter locations.
Available Guides
Articuno
Articuno waits at the top of its ice tower. The bundled world-generation data places this tower in Snowy Plains, and the Articuno Radar recipe provides a survival-friendly way to search for it.
Galarian Birds
The three Galarian birds are separate level 60 ultra-rare spawns around the Dyna Tree. Galarian Moltres checks for daytime, Galarian Articuno checks for nighttime, and Galarian Zapdos requires a thunderstorm.
Zapdos
Zapdos occupies a copper-accented tower on a Stony Shore. The current bundled world-generation file names Stony Shore as the tower biome, and the Zapdos Radar recipe supports a survival search.
Moltres
Moltres is found at a blackstone tower in the Nether. The bundled structure file places the tower in Nether Wastes, while the radar recipe offers a survival route to the encounter.
Mewtwo
The legendary psychic Pokemon created through genetic engineering. Mewtwo is obtained through the cloning process using a Restoration Tank, Fossil Analyser, and Data Monitor setup. You can also obtain an Armored variant using Rocket Armor, or a Shiny variant using the Radiant Cloning Catalyst.
Mew
Mew is summoned at its jungle temple with an Origin Fossil. The bundled encounter range is level 75–90; the metadata uses the lower bound required by the parser.
Legendary Beasts
Entei, Raikou, and Suicune are level 60 ultra-rare natural spawns around the Burned Tower. Their base weights are equal, but each has a different three-times condition bonus: Entei during the day, Raikou during thunderstorms, and Suicune during rain.
Lugia
Lugia is summoned at the altar inside Whirl Island, an ocean-floor structure in Deep Cold Ocean. The required Silver Wing comes from Giovanni at the Rocket Radio Tower, so complete that progression before searching for the island.
Ho-Oh
Ho-Oh is summoned at the Bell Tower with the Rainbow Wing earned from the Old Sage in the Burned Tower. The bundled encounter range is level 60–70; the metadata uses the lower bound required by the parser.
Celebi
Celebi is summoned at the Ilex Shrine inside the Celebi Shrine structure. The bundled world-generation file places the structure in Taiga, and the bundled spawn entry uses a level range of 75–80.
Regirock
Regirock is summoned at its temple with a Pebble Relic. The survival path is to mine Rock Ore for the relic, craft a Regirock Radar, and take both to the Lush Desert temple.
Regice
Regice is summoned at its temple with a Cryo Relic. The survival path has three parts: mine Ice Ore for the relic, craft a Regice Radar, and take both to the temple in Snowy Badlands.
Registeel
Registeel is summoned at its temple with a Metal Relic. The survival path is to mine Steel Ore for the relic, craft a Registeel Radar, and take both to the Alpine Highlands temple.
Eon Duo
Latias and Latios are summoned at separate altars in the Secret Garden, a large structure generated at Y=100 over Deep Lukewarm Ocean. Each encounter uses its matching dew, so obtain both before traveling if you want the full duo.
Kyogre
Kyogre is summoned at an underwater temple in Deep Cold Ocean. Bring an Ocean Core for the altar, and inspect the structure's front awning after the encounter for the Blue Orb and the Poké Ball shown in the guide evidence.
Groudon
Groudon spawns from level 60 to 70 inside its Warm Ocean volcano structure. Bring Fire Resistance, collect all eight Heat Stones, and be ready to begin the encounter as soon as the altar activates.
Rayquaza
The legendary sky dragon in its Mega form. Found atop the Sky Pillar after a challenging climb involving trainer battles and puzzle solving. When you catch it, since the only requirement for rayquaza to be in Mega form is to know Dragon Ascent, you can able to switch between the Mega and non-Mega form of Rayquaza
Jirachi
Jirachi is summoned inside its exclusive structure in Blooming Plateau. The required Melodic Tape is hidden in the same structure, so no separate crafted key is needed.
Deoxys
Deoxys is summoned in a floating meteorite structure over the End's Small End Islands. The structure contains both the Meteorite Crystal used for the summon and a reusable Deoxys Meteorite for changing forms afterward.
Uxie
Uxie is summoned at the altar in Lake Acuity. The bundled biome tag places Lake Acuity in Glacial Chasm, and the encounter rewards a Knowledge Jewel used in the Red Chain recipe.
Mesprit
Mesprit is summoned at the altar in Lake Verity. The bundled biome tag places Lake Verity in Sakura Valley, and the encounter rewards an Emotion Jewel used in the Red Chain recipe.
Azelf
Azelf is summoned at the altar in Lake Valor. The bundled biome tag places Lake Valor in Arid Highlands, and the encounter rewards a Willpower Jewel used in the Red Chain recipe.
Dialga
Dialga is summoned at the Space-Time Altar inside Spear Pillar. The same structure is used for Palkia, but Dialga requires an Adamant Orb and produces the Temporal Flute.
Palkia
Palkia is summoned at the Space-Time Altar inside Spear Pillar. The same structure is used for Dialga, but Palkia requires a Lustrous Orb and produces the Spatial Flute.
Heatran
Heatran spawns in his own exclusive structure, the Stark Mountain. This can be found in the Nether Wastes Biome.
Regigigas
Regigigas can be found at the Snowpoint Temple. To summon it you will first need a Titan Relic.
Giratina
Giratina can be summoned in the Distortion World, the portal for which can be found in the Turnback Cave.
Cresselia
Cresselia can be summoned on Fullmoon Island, which can be found in Lukewarm Ocean biomes.
Manaphy
The Manaphy encounter begins with an egg stored inside a small ocean-floor structure in Deep Cold Ocean. There is no bundled radar recipe for this structure, so the survival route is an underwater exploration search.
Darkrai
Darkrai is summoned in the Nightmare Dimension. Enter by sleeping while holding the Moonlight Amulet dropped during the Cresselia route. Darkrai can spawn from level 40 to 65.
Shaymin
Shaymin is summoned at the altar on Flower Paradise, a small structure in Warm Ocean. The first Professor Oak's Letter is awarded when the five specified Kanto partners are together in your party.
Arceus
Arceus is the final Sinnoh legendary encounter. Craft the Azure Flute from the Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina progression items, use it while standing still to enter the Origin Dimension, defeat both trainers there, and place all 18 plates on the rear pedestals.
Zygarde
Zygarde is assembled rather than encountered as a normal adult legendary. Collect Zygarde Cells and Cores, store them in a Zygarde Cube, process the loaded Cube in a Reassembly Unit, and use a Poké Ball on the finished machine. The quantities determine whether the machine produces ordinary 10%, ordinary 50%, or a 50% Zygarde with Power Construct.
Necrozma Dawn Wings
The Dawn Wings route is now covered by the combined Necrozma Towers guide. The combined guide distinguishes the Dawn Radar and Dawn Tower route from the Dusk Radar and Dusk Tower route without duplicating the shared End traversal instructions.
Necrozma Towers
Necrozma's two fused forms use parallel towers in the End. Craft the Dawn Radar for Dawn Wings or the Dusk Radar for Dusk Mane, map the matching tower in an End Cartography Table, ride its levitation shaft, and activate the pressure plate at the summit. Necrozma spawns from level 70 to 75.
Eternatus
Eternatus is summoned from the Eternatus Cocoon in the End. The bundled structure file places cocoons in End Highlands and End Midlands, while the encounter evidence shows a 500 Galar Particle deposit requirement.
Split-Decision Temple
Regieleki and Regidrago share the Split-Decision Temple. Mine Electron Ore for a Spark Relic and take the left altar for Regieleki, or mine Dragon Ore for a Draco Relic and take the right altar for Regidrago. Activating either altar removes the other, so catching both requires finding a second temple. Both encounters spawn from level 70 to 80.
Regidrago
Regidrago now shares one canonical walkthrough with Regieleki because both encounters use the Split-Decision Temple. Continue to the Split-Decision Temple guide and follow the Draco Relic route.
Calyrex Ice Rider
Both Calyrex and Glastrier can be found here. There is no other way to spawn Glastrier. The only other way to spawn Calyrex is at the Crown Cemetery.
Calyrex Shadow Rider
Both Calyrex and Spectrier can be found here. There is no other way to spawn Spectrier. The only other way to spawn Calyrex is at the Crown Spire.
Wo-Chien
Wo-Chien is one of the Treasures of Ruin. Collect eight Grasswither Stakes across the Nether, then activate a Grasswither Shrine in a Warped Forest. The bundled encounter range is level 65–70; the metadata uses the lower bound required by the parser.
