Azelf is summoned at the altar in Lake Valor. The bundled biome tag places Lake Valor in Arid Highlands, and the encounter rewards a Willpower Jewel used in the Red Chain recipe.

How to Obtain

Explore Arid Highlands or use the map created from the Valor Proof. Lake Valor is a broad multi-island structure; the generated map and the overhead view below show the shape to look for.

Travel to the largest island near the center and find the Azelf Altar beside the Pokémon Trial Spawner.

Activate the trial and defeat the level 78 Overqwil shown in the encounter. Collect the Azelf Fang from the trial spawner after the battle.

Interact with the Azelf Altar while holding the fang. This summons level 70 Azelf and raises a Willpower Jewel from the altar.

Keep the Willpower Jewel: the bundled Red Chain recipe combines it with the Knowledge Jewel, Emotion Jewel, and Broken Red Chain for the Dialga and Palkia path.

## Troubleshooting

•If the map is unavailable, the structure can still be found by exploring Arid Highlands; the command is only an optional aid.
•Use the altar only after collecting the Azelf Fang from the trial spawner.
•The earlier guide did not have verified cooldown evidence for repeating the trial, so this guide does not claim a reset time.
