Before you even step foot into the Distortion World, get the following ready:

The gems, Netherite Ingot, Poké Radar, and two Origin Ingots make the Giratina Radar. Origin Ingots must be smelted from ore found inside the Distortion World, so bring the furnace and fuel. The empty map, paper, and Ancient Poké Balls support the route and encounter. A flying Pokémon or Waystone makes traversal safer.

Turnback Cave generates underground in Arid Highlands. The more reliable route is to craft the Old Journal and combine it with an empty map in a regional cartography table.

Use the minimap outline to recognize Turnback Cave. Pokémon trial spawners appear in several rooms, so prepare for battles while searching for the portal chamber.

Locate the portal room. On the minimap it appears near the purple marker and has the distinctive outline shown in the second image.

Entering the portal begins with a fall. The dimension prevents fall damage, and reaching the void teleports you back to the top.

Next, look for Distortion Origin Ore, identifiable by its reddish-orange texture.

Smelt the ore into Origin Ingots, then craft the Giratina Radar. Smelt one extra Origin Ingot if you also plan to craft the Azure Flute for Arceus.

Craft a Distortion Cartography Table from logs found in the Distortion World. Combine the Giratina Radar with an empty map at that table to locate Giratina's Island.

Giratina's Island may be difficult to spot from a distance, but it'll be obvious when you get closer. Use the Red Chain to spawn Giratina. This will destroy the glass dome.

To leave, the return portal should be nearby Giratina's island. In the first image you can see Giratina's Island on the right and the portal on the left.

## Troubleshooting

•Bring the furnace, fuel, and radar materials before entering so the Origin Ore can be processed without leaving.
•Giratina can spawn from level 75 to 95 in the bundled encounter data.
•If Giratina's Island is hard to spot, use the Distortion Cartography Table map and look for the glass dome at closer range.
