Create an Origin Fossil to summon Mew. You'll need:

•1 Origin Ball (obtained from beating Kanto Champion Blue or Johto Champion Lance for the first time)
•5 of any fossils (can mix and match different fossil types)
•1 Ancient DNA (obtained from Gym Leader Giovanni or found inside Mew's Temple)

Save the Ancient DNA from Giovanni—Mewtwo also requires one.

Confirm You Have an Origin Ball - Champion Blue after dropping an Origin Ball

Use the Origin Fossil at the temple shrine to summon Mew. Prepare for level 75–90 rather than assuming every encounter is level 75.

Four Gimmighouls wait on the temple's upper pillars; catch them to passively generate Relic Coins in your pasture, or defeat them for a large Relic Coin drop.

## Troubleshooting

•If you are missing Ancient DNA, search the temple before spending the copy obtained from Giovanni.
•Keep one Origin Ball unused until all Origin Fossil ingredients are ready; it is part of the crafted summoning item.
•The four pillar Gimmighouls are optional side rewards and do not gate the Mew encounter.
